When do birds start to sing?
The science department of the NZZ had the idea for an article celebrating spring. An editor approached me with data on several bird species that can be found in Switzerland. We wanted to illustrate the differences in the starting times of their singing: some start 90 minutes before sunrise and some 90 minutes afte. The interactive visualization allows you to hear the birds' songs by hovering over them. A very relaxing piece that provides a break from the news.
